The SHIGURE, has been traditional pastry from Edo era in this district.
In the Edo era, each monarch have to live in Edo (present Tokyo) as to preserve their military system and as the hostage by one year replacement.
One day when a vassal whose came from Ozu told a way to make the pastry which present for their monarch in the Edo house.
The day after a vassal back to Ozu, he told this way to other vassals. This episode is the source which has the SHIGURE born.
